  • This position is Part-Time. Works an average of 20-29 hours per week. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK SOME LATE NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS.**


Essential Job Functions


  • Provides set-ups for Pavilion and Village-wide activities, meetings, etc. as scheduled.
  • Moves, carries, or lifts tables, chairs, PA, microphones, and pianos and position them for meetings, information programs, classes and entertainment programs. Tears down and returns to storage after program.
  • (TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED) Operates audio, visual and lighting equipment and perform minor repairs on the equipment (replace bulbs, repair cords).
  • MUST be punctual.

Provides physical set-ups and tear downs in the Village Activity Areas and the Pavilion. Transports equipment to the different activity areas as needed. Assists with other staff functions. Supportive of the Village s mission, values, and service/hospitality (PRIDE) expectations. Completes training hours as required by policy.


Essential Job Funtions


  • Provides set-ups for Pavilion and Village-wide activities, meetings, etc. as scheduled.
  • Moves, carries, or lifts tables, chairs, PA, microphones, and pianos and position them for meetings, information programs, classes and entertainment programs. Tears down and returns to storage after program.
  • Operates audio, visual and lighting equipment and perform minor repairs on the equipment (replace bulbs, repair cords).
  • Ensures safe working conditions. Maintains all equipment and keep in good working order.
  • Delivers papers, post notices on activity bulletin boards, and transport equipment as requested.
  • Performs various other tasks as assigned by staff supervisor in charge of an event.
  • Performs general custodial maintenance (washing windows, carrying out trash, vacuuming carpet, floor mopping, washing tables and chairs, etc.).
  • Performs snow and ice removal outside Pavilion.
  • Operates aerial lift for maintaining Pavilion house and stage lighting, decorating, etc. Must attend mandatory Village aerial lift training as offered.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations and requirements.
  • Ability to handle stress and gets along with others within the workplace and with customers outside the department.
  • Ability to maintain acceptable standards of workplace conduct.


The responsibilities described above represent the primary responsibilities of the job. Other responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as warranted by business needs. The incumbent is expected to perform all assigned responsibilities.


Education


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS


  • This job requires a combination of education, training and/or experience that would typically be acquired through a course of study leading to a high school diploma or GED.


Licenses/Certifications


  • Must have or be able to obtain a Missouri Class E driver s license within 30 days of hire.


Knowledge And Skills (required Unless Otherwise Noted)


  • Previous experience with sound and lighting equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, handbooks and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write simple sentences, paragraphs, and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-one-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Beginning level keyboard skills experience with Microsoft Windows and Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) is required.
  • Ability to relate to customers in a positive manner.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to take direction.


SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS


  • Work is primarily indoors in climate-controlled environment.
  • Occasionally works outdoors in extreme heat and cold (for facility maintenance or outside events).
  • Occasionally required to travel throughout the Village campus by company vehicle.
  • Occasionally exposed to chemicals in cleaning supplies and paint.
  • Frequently exposed to loud noise (ex., concerts, crowds, etc.).
  • All associates may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation.

  • Operate hydraulic lift to change light bulbs, adjust stage lighting, decorate, etc. at ceiling height. Associate s body weight must not exceed 250 pounds.
  • Ability to speak and hear.
  • Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color distinction, peripheral vision, depth perception and an ability to adjust focus.
  • Push and/or pull objects weighing up to 80 pounds several times throughout a work shift.
  • Lift overhead up to 10 pounds several times per shift.
  • Lift knee to waist up to 65 pounds several times per shift.
  • Double arm carry- up to 55 pounds.
  • Single arm carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Climb steps or ladder.
