Responsibilities
• Perform assigned procedures under general supervision
• Provide patient care and assist healthcare providers
• Perform blood glucose testing, phlebotomy, and IV discontinuation
• Assist with patient exams and minor surgical procedures
• Ensure accurate specimen collection and perform point-of-care testing
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
• Document vital signs, procedures, and changes in patient condition
• Monitor supply stock levels and maintain a safe environment
• Comply with regulations, maintain certifications, and complete required training
• Attend department meetings and educational classes
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification required
• Certified Nursing Assistant license or Arizona Certified Emergency Medical Technician required
• Previous Emergency Department experience preferred
• Understanding and competence in using computers and basic software programs
