The Engineering Manager directs the Engineering team in development and design of hydrotherapy spas and exercise pools. The incumbent will be responsible for process definition and evolution, as well as investigation and implementation of new manufacturing technologies.

Essential Functions:

� Directs and oversees Engineering department functions and projects from concept to production including design, budgets, and schedule. Responsible for evaluating feasibility of design ideas, based on factors such as appearance, safety, function, serviceability, budget, production costs/methods, and market characteristics.

� Develops & maintains standardized work instructions; defines standard work by assisting with control plans to assure critical features are controlled through the production process.

� Supports the development of Process Failure Modes Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify critical risks in the production processes with the Manufacturing Engineers, and Quality-in-Issue resolution including root cause investigation & corrective action

� Ensures quality standards are being met throughout the entire production process and support no defects from leaving a station; Promotes safety by identifying and improving unsafe conditions or processes.

� Drives operations efficiency improvements with production operations, engineering, finance, design, and quality teams; this will also include development of capital expense business cases. Steers continuous improvement program, utilizing lean manufacturing methodologies

� Oversees the research and development of new manufacturing equipment / software, processes, policies, standard operating procedures and work instructions. Maintains detailed component level process documentation, findings, and process manufacturing line development.

� Drives strategic initiatives and actions that deliver results to improve program cost and schedule performance. Ensures program milestones and performance goals are achieved.

� Analyzes and designs value stream, including capability, capacity, throughput, work flow and logistics. Drives line development activities from inceptions through closure, cost of manufacturing reductions in CapEx/BOM/cost of manufacturing, in addition to continuous improvement efforts and affordability targets.

� Manages installation coordination and schedule of new production systems; Ramps production lines to achieve launch schedules.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company s policies and applicable laws. Manages and motivates team members to perform above expectations; and holds people accountable for their performance. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education: BS/MS in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience: 5+ years in direct individual contributor roles in industrial, manufacturing, or systems engineering roles. 3+ years directly leading teams of engineers in scopes listed above.

Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office. Familiar with Computer Aided Design, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Hydraulic Modeling, and Finite Element Analysis.
