A growing ad-tech firm located in NYC.
Job Description
The Java Software Engineer would be reporting to the VP of Software Engineering. This person would play an integral part of the software development lifecycle. They would be using a modern tech stack of Kafta, Sparka, Java, Python, AWS, Airflow, etc to develop and maintain ad-tech related systems!
- Develop ad-tech related systems using the following Java, Scala and Python.
- Develop ETL Pipelines
- Work cross functionally with QA and DevOps to integrate, test and release different systems throughout the SDLC stages
- Work within an AWS/GCP/Azure system.
- Work within a Linux environment
- Hands on experience with design using Java
- 24/7 low latency large-scale distributed systems
- Ability to create and design code by understanding testing, hardware and deployment methodologies

The Successful Applicant
The successful Java Software Engineer would have experience with the following:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
- 5+ years strong hands-on development experience using Java (Java 8+ preferred)
- Experience with Apache Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, and Zookeeper
- Experience with Java8+, AWS, RabbitMQ, MySQL, Vertica, and Aerospike
- Experience with Java/Python/Scala
- Experience within a Linux environment
- Must be comfortable working out of the NYC office!
