IT Internal Support Specialist

Boot World, the industry's leading occupational footwear provider for over 45 years, is seeking an IT Internal Support Specialist to join our growing IT Department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond/resolve retail store and home office technical cases via phone and email submissions
• Install and configure systems, equipment[VE1] , and applications
• Update and maintain computer networks for corporate [VE2] office and retail stores
• Provide User training and support pertaining to new applications and systems
• Maintain a database of documentation related to warranties, licenses, and instruction guides
• Monitor company network for potential threats and weaknesses

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or above in computer science, information systems, or related field
• Prior IT, or similar technical function, help desk experience
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• The ability to communicate technical information in an accessible manner to non-technical employees
• Prior retail and point of sale software experience highly preferred
• Advanced knowledge of networking principles and operating systems
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Customer-service focus
• Hands-on problem-solving ability
• Knowledge of script languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, etc.
