About Global Match

Global Match connects universities with international students from around the world, leveraging connections with counselors who support them directly. This year, we estimate that more than 8,000 students from more than 50 countries will use the Global Match platform to find universities. Instead of relying on recruitment agents or cost-intensive in-country staff, the Global Match technology enables a scalable, cost-efficient way to recruit and enroll international students.

The Role in Brief:

Specialist, Global Match

As a Partner Development Specialist, you will be responsible for generating leads and managing the sales process in order to convert new partners. We are seeking sales professionals who have a record of success achieving and exceeding sales goals within a team selling environment.

This position will ideally be based in Richmond, VA, or Washington DC; however, as EAB embraces a hybrid-work environment in the future, exceptional candidates who may be based remotely are also encouraged to apply.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Initiating and cultivating strong relationships with prospective partners and optimizing team interactions for a defined territory
  • Identify education executives who may benefit from EAB’s products and services and generate net new business relationships leveraging all internal resources to connect with qualified leads
  • Collaborate with Partner Development Executives (PDEs) and Strategic Leaders to meet and further advance those prospective relationships
  • Prospect, conduct compelling sales presentations, and sell to marketing directors to meet and exceed target goals
  • Use a consultative, strategic sales approach to build relationships with marketing and enrollment professionals and most importantly – close deals
  • Use Salesforce and other resources necessary for territory management and success
  • Assess buying readiness and competitor status, generate additional sales pipeline by strategically elevating interest into buyer-level evaluations, and learn about the catalysts and buyer personas to accelerate sales in the territory.
  • Discretionary, up to 30%

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in a sales or sales support role
  • Strong interest and ability to initiate, build and maintain partner relationships with senior, level colleagues, members, and prospects
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience managing multiple, competing priorities; strong prioritization and organizational skills, including attention to detail

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Ability to demonstrate and communicate the ROI of product offerings, drawing on subject matter expertise and work experience that will enhance credibility with prospective members
  • Ability to demonstrate and use active listening to diagnose a problem and map a solution in the moment
  • Knowledge of the higher education undergraduate and graduate admissions, recruitment enrollment landscape
  • Proven experience managing client relationships
  • Proven negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Commitment to valuing diversity, practicing inclusive behaviors, and contributing to an equitable working and continual learning environment in support of EAB’s DE&I Promise
