Job Summary/Basic Function
The Project Manager is appointed by the Director of Curriculum (Dir) and reports directly to the Assistant Director of Curriculum (AD). The Project Manager is a twelve-month salaried position, fully benefited. The Project Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the creation, development, and maintenance of assigned projects and subject areas within Liberty University's Precollegiate department.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
3+ years of project management or similar experience
Master's Degree in education or the subject area
Knowledge of the subject area on the K-12 level
Keen knowledge of biblical worldview as pertains to the subject area
Preferred Qualifications
Essential Skills
Ability to provide direction and oversight in the development process to ensure successful, timely, and quality completion of projects within certain defined parameters
Ability to manage people and to ensure that timely and quality progress is made
Ability to manage a greater or smaller number of concurrent development projects of varying scopes and conditions
Strong organizational skills
Keen technical literacy and ability to learn new technologies as needed
Ability to be flexible, learn on the job, and to adjust to change as projects and priorities vary
Ability to respond to directives from leadership regarding the big picture direction of projects, while also exercising creativity within the defined parameters to create your own solutions
Ability to work well in concert with others, both as a team member and as the leader of a team
Self-motivation, self-discipline, and the ability to work with integrity and minimal supervision
