Seeking a Sweet Remote Business Analyst Position with E-Commerce Team

The ideal candidate is someone who has worked in ecommerce or other consumer facing websites, as a business analyst or other technical or digital marketing role. The candidate should have a proficiency and interest for conducting research, defining product requirements and presenting with different internal and external teams.

Job Description:

• Perform analysis on technology projects of various complexities
• Clarify requirements, answer questions, and conduct additional research related to product requirement documentation and definition to share with Product Management team
• Analyze business value of technology projects and present findings to stakeholders
• Develop requirements documents that define product improvements and development initiatives
• Participate in product design activities, wireframes, flow charting, and mockups that generate user friendly solutions that provide clear end-user benefits and differentiation from competitor products
• Work cross-functionally with a team of Product Managers, Web Developers, Test Case Writers, Quality Assurance Analysts, Project Managers, Copywriters, UX Designers, and Business Units to develop new products and to provide ongoing management for existing products
• Assess stakeholder needs, technology trends, and major competitors in order to synthesize product and technical requirements

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience working in a Business Analysis or related role
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Strong analytical abilities to decipher business needs and recommend solutions
• Ability to become a Subject Matter Expert for all ecommerce products
• Ability to manage and develop various products at different stages
• Superb interpersonal skills, to both internal and external partners, including authorship of product-related documentation
• Ability to develop functional product specifications
• Ability to think creatively and excellent problem solving skills
• Can take charge and thrive in uncharted territory
• Able to connect with technical and non-technical people
• Highly responsible, self-disciplined, creative, and confident
• Ability to prioritize and pace on multiple projects
• Understanding of how the web works and familiarity with web development languages such as HTML, CSS, etc..
• Solid grasp of application architectures, databases, APIs, etc. 1 – 2 years of software development experience a plus
• Ability to write basic ad-hoc SQL queries for requirements gathering a plus
