Capobianco Engineering Group, LLP is seeking a qualified individual to assist with facade and roofing projects in its New York, NY office. Candidates must possess strong technical capabilities including knowledge of facades, windows and doors, and roofing systems. The engineer will work collaboratively with the Capobianco Engineering Group, LLP team to provide engineering support.
Capobianco Engineering Group, LLP is a multi-discipline consulting engineering firm assisting building owners and operators in the maintenance, renovation, and troubleshooting of commercial, institutional, and high-rise residential buildings.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Performing and reviewing engineering calculations and assumptions
- Performing and reviewing engineering surveys and reports
- Conducting site visits and preparing field observation reports for review
- Performing inspections from supported and suspended scaffolding
- Preparing specifications and technical drawings for review
- Attending client meetings, and preparing meeting notes
- Communicating with contractors, clients, and city agencies regularly.
Required Experience
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Architecture). Other engineering disciplines will be considered
- 1-3 years of experience in facade and roofing consulting or product sales, construction, or related field (preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD drafting software and drafting standards
- Knowledge of New York City Facade Inspection & Safety Program (FISP) requirements
- Knowledge of New York City building and energy codes
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
