The Opportunity
Homecare Homebase is searching for a Home Health Claim Processor who will be responsible for submission of claims for payment to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance health care programs.

The Challenge

At Homecare Homebase, we help home health and hospice organizations across the nation overcome the business and technological challenges that stand in the way of patient care and efficiency. As a Home Health Claim Processor, you will play an essential role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for our customers so that they can focus their time and energy on delivering high quality patient care.

You will be responsible for:

  • Creating charges and submission of claims multiple times daily
  • Verifying accuracy of billing data and reporting any errors
  • Importing/posting payments from all payor types
  • Retrieving .837 rejections from multiple clearing houses and entering the appropriate billing note for each rejection
  • Retrieving .999 files related to multiple submitter ids, distributing count of files to designated list
  • Daily rebilling of claims as needed with billing notes being attached upon completion of rebill process
  • Matching claims submitted with EDI Batch number to ensure claims are transferred to the clearing house for adjudication
  • Special projects as needed
  • Working with personal information and maintaining patient confidentiality
What We're Looking For

  • Highly organized individuals who display a strong attention to detail
  • Experienced claim processors with a knowledge of DDE, Waystar/Zirmed, Ability, Change Healthcare, e-Solutions and other common clearinghouses
  • Analytical thinkers with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team players who are passionate about their work and will actively contribute to a positive, collaborative environment
  • Home health/hospice experience is preferred
Education requirements: this career opportunity requires a high school diploma
