Leidos Civil Group has an immediate opening for a Program Financial Analyst, Principal to join our finance team supporting our Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) Operation. As a core member of the finance team, you will play a valuable part in supporting and executing a wide range of projects and programs within the operation, while leveraging your financial expertise in the areas of financial planning and analysis (planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be able to apply principles of finance and accounting to analyze financial statements for monthly/quarterly/annual financial Outlooks; support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Estimates at Complete (EAC)
  • Responsible for the month-end closing process for the Aviation division. Validate awards/bookings, backlog, revenue & op income, and cash for the division.
  • Develop financial models for reporting and forecasting, which include income statement (P&L), cash flow statement, employee utilization, and investment spending.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, highlighting any trends and investigating causes of unexpected variances to forecast. Help improve financial status for the division by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to management.
  • Work closely with Group-level FP&A and across other functions, in the USA and abroad, to complete forecast consolidation and provide variance analysis.
  • Lead analysis that delivers insights to key stakeholders for critical business decisions.
  • Work with the division program financial analysts to track program billing (in coordination with Leidos Billing Team), cash collection, aged receivables, analysis and clearing of unbilled receivables.
  • Analyze direct and indirect division actuals for accuracy, identify errors, ensure errors are corrected timely.
  • Support any ad hoc requests by internal management and external customers
  • Work closely with the program financial analysts in the USA and abroad to track revenue recognition and ensure accuracy based on contractual and company requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance related field and 12+ years of demonstrated experience in Accounting, Finance, or Economics-related financial analysis
  • Prior experience with program financial control is required, including experience with contract cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Experience with international commercial contracts
  • Prior experience in full cycle product finance experience, including supply chain, inventory, and manufacturing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to identify financial drivers and perform high level and detailed analysis
  • Good communication skills both verbally and written to clearly provide detailed analysis. Ability to work across multiple contracts and communicate with several stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, or in a team environment and with various organizational levels

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior FP&A Experience
  • Experience with Costpoint, Cognos, Oracle Analytics and other Leidos financial systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $105,300.00 - $162,000.00 - $218,700.00
