**About the role**

To advance Understood's mission and further our impact, we are hiring a Process Improvement Senior Analyst, who will be a member of the Business Operations team and will report to our Senior Director of Business Operations. The Business Operations team partners with cross-functional stakeholders and work closely with various teams (e.g. Product, Marketing, and HR) to impact the way we plan and execute the work we do at Understood.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of project(s) and process improvements, as well as supporting cross-functional initiatives on a number of process excellence and/or change management projects.

**Responsibilities**


* Identify and analyze organizational processes and facilitate/implement recommendations for optimization and improvement

* Proactively and thoroughly project manage work, including but not limited to: creating timelines, identifying key milestones, and identifying any additional resources needed to complete the work

* Resolve project issues through direct action or escalation, when necessary

* Assist with the management of internal relationships, processes, and performance drives

* Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

* Develop and train the organization on standardized process improvement methods


**Qualifications**


* Bachelor's degree in Business or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience, preferred

* Demonstrated experience in business process modeling

* Experience as a consultant in a top-tier management consulting firm preferred

* Experience utilizing Six Sigma, Lean or BPI methodologies preferred

* Experience facilitating process improvements and change management projects

* Highly proficient in Google Suite (Sheets, Slides) and / or Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)


**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**


* 3+ years of experience in a role focused on process improvement

* 2+ years of experience leading or supporting project management projects

* Ability to collect and analyze data

* Ability to drive change, problem solve, motivate, persuade, and be empathetic to a wide range of diverse, cross-cultural audiences

* Willingness and ability to engage with stakeholders (including senior executives) and communicate insights in a flexible, professional manner

* Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and the ability to multitask

* Comfortable navigating complex, matrixed organizations

* You are a team player and drive for results

* Strong relationship-building skills and high empathy, to build rapport quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment

* You are calm under pressure

* You are comfortable bringing your whole self to your work
