Purpose: Under the direction of the Sr. Director, Practice Administration, MA functions as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team in providing the highest quality of care to the patient.

Practice within the MA scope of practice and maintain annual competencies
Provide quality care to patients under the supervision of Procedural APP, Nurse Manager, RNs and LPNs
Collect data (vitals, height, weight) and report to provider or nurse, particularly with vitals outside of normal limits
Follow AIDET and service recovery expectations
Demonstrate flexibility to optimize clinic flow, minimize patient wait times, maximize provider productivity in clinic, and optimize the patient experience
Participate in the clinic orientation of new nursing team members
Participate in and support of Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement activities
Coordinate Care for Trillium Health patients
Work with the interdisciplinary health care team to facilitate care
Work with interdisciplinary health care team to keep patients engaged
Demonstrate positive communication and teamwork within clinic and between departments
3. Documentation
Document all clinical care clearly, thoroughly, accurately, and timely
Order and maintain inventory of medications/ supplies
4. Miscellaneous

Qualifications
The ability to demonstrate teamwork and effective interpersonal relations skills is imperative. Excellent written/oral communication and computer skills are required. Medical office assistant certification preferred but not required. Current CPR certification and experience working in community-based health care settings is also preferred. Experience working with HIV/AIDS clients is preferred, but not required. Experience with chronic diseases in an outpatient setting is desired. Previous experience with an Electronic Health Record is desired.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Occasionally the employee must stoop, bend and lift or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
