Senior Programmer Analyst

Quanex is looking for a Senior Programmer Analyst to join our IT team, located in Akron, OH.

The Senior Programmer Analyst will perform planning, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support phases of the Software Development Life Cycle to complete new software applications and enhancements to existing applications. Where applicable, the Senior Programmer Analyst will work with external consultants and vendors to help deploy or enhance third-party applications.

What Success Looks Like:

• Complete all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle on new software application projects
• Respond to all support ticket requests within the time frame outlined in our IT support policies
• General knowledge of project management practices with ability to lead technical projects
• General knowledge of project management practices with ability to lead technical projects
• Work in a manner that keeps applications, systems, and processes in compliance with SOX, General Computing Controls, and the Company’s business policies.
• Liaison with external consultants and vendors to deliver third-party business solutions as needed
• Collaborate with and help to mentor other IT Application team members

Your Credentials:

• Minimum 8 years’ experience as an IT professional
• Technical expertise in one or more of the following is required: Microsoft .NET framework, HTML, ASP, C#, VB.NET, Bootstrap, JavaScript Libraries, MS SQL, API Web Services (REST, SOAP, JSON), SSR
• Experience with source control tools such as GIT, Bitbucket, Team Foundation Server is preferred
• Experience with one or more of these applications is preferred: Salesforce, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, OneStream, MS Azure, Infor CSI ERP, Data Integration tools such as SSIS or Talend
