Title : Business Analyst
Location : Bloomfield CT / Remote
Duration : 07 months+
Description :
- Provide technical support for governance tools and processes.
- Provide business analysis support for automation and self-service efforts. Work with the engineering DQ and Tools team and assist with prioritization and business analysis.
- Perform data usage analysis and job dependency analysis. Coordinate with technical teams on job retirement.
- Conduct root cause analysis of cross-team delivery issues to help with resolution and coordinate follow-up actions to resolve issues.
- Perform data analysis to support complex, cross-team work requests submitted to the analytical data engineering teams. Help assess complex new work requests in partnership with the Analytics Data Intake Lead.
- Work with the Business Support function on issue resolution that requires governance team support.
Skills :
- Excellent analytical skills & ability to get to root cause quickly.
- Extensive experience querying, analyzing, and understanding data and business use of data.
- 3-7 years recent hands-on technical experience building and supporting integrated data solutions.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical issues simply and concisely.
- Strong facilitation skills as an SA, BA on data build / retirement / adoption projects.
- UNIX, SQL, Excel, Teradata, Hadoop, Python, R, UI Design and Development, AWS, Hive, SAS, Looker, Tableau, Data Mining / Profiling Tools, Data Mapping Tools
- Education : BS or BA degree in MIS, Business, Computer Science or equivalent work experience and training Skills and Experience
