Job Summary


You will report into the VP of Global Talent Development for Avantor. You will lead a team to create a strategic sales learning and development plan focused on building sales capabilities and supporting career development for our global audiences.


Your portfolio of learning offerings will be largely focused on global sales skills and onboarding, but will integrate with offerings from other parts of the L&D organization on topics like leadership development and professional skills.


You are the primary engagement point for our most senior sales leaders to align on learning & development priorities, and ensure we create innovative and value-add solutions, supported by change management & communication plans.


You and your team will create training delivery plans for the portfolio, as well as establishing evaluation metrics and reporting out on results to your client base.


You will also partner as needed with the broader talent team on projects that support sales talent success.


Lead and support the development and delivery of large-scale, sales learning solutions that address knowledge and skills gaps and drive the success of the sales organizations.


Partner closely with key stakeholders to design, develop and deploy the learning solutions within your strategic plan.


Lead a team of high performing learning consultants.


Foster and develop personal relationships deeper into the sales organization to better understand "day in the life" learning needs and ensure learning solutions address their needs.


Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure transparency and a connected approach strategically to engage holistically with learners.


Select and manage vendors to support strategic plans ensuring learning portfolio solutions are best in class.


Work with your team and extended partners to develop, implement and iterate engagement / reinforcement strategies.


Motivate and drive your team achieve goals and clearly demonstrate return on investment and impact to the business through a data-driven approach.


Take a lead in knowledge sharing and developing learning skills internally across your team.


Be a career coach for your team helping them to develop and progress their careers.


Qualifications :


Proven people leader with ability to recruit, develop and manage high-performing teams to achieve goals


Ability to network and be a strong relationship manager capable of establishing and building trust with varying levels of leadership through deep understanding of business objectives, drivers and needs.


Track record of developing winning strategies, converting them into clear plans for execution as well as connecting to the wider vision.


Results-driven mindset with the ability to work under pressure, navigate through ambiguity, and balance multiple priorities, defining and establishing new approaches as needed


Marketing mindset to accompany launch of learning portfolio.


Ability to influence and inspire the confidence of both internal and external stakeholders


Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a successful track record of presenting to audiences of multiple levels


Ability to adapt approach and message to effectively engage and communicate with different stakeholder groups


Significant learning and development experience at senior levels gained in finance or sales environments


Ability to travel (up to 10%)
