Summary

Description:

Change Management governs standard methods and procedures that enable us to modify the WHG IT environment to improve products and services without impacting customers or customer-facing employees. Changes are inclusive of internal infrastructure changes as well as vendor product changes which impact WHG's environment and services.

The primary focus of the role is the management and governance of technology change requests as they are submitted and processed through WHG. The role will include the development and governance of change practices, providing guidance and support to customers of the process, and helping troubleshoot questions and issues should they arise. The role also involves continuous collaboration with our change management partners from other business units in managing cross-business-unit initiatives.

Responsibilities

The Change Manager will work with key stakeholders in the organization, including executive management, to provide and implement improvement recommendations. This position must befamiliar with technology change management functions. The candidate will also be responsible for maintenance and enhancements for a Change Confluence site which houses all documents used within the CM departmentand to serve as the primary point of contact for training and questions related to the Change Management process.

The position requires some flexibility for evening or weekend phone calls if assistance is needed during implementations.

Responsibility

1 Coordinates daily IT Change Management activities across the IT organization.
  • Govern the change management approval processes for internal WHG changes as well as 3rd party, cloud and vendor changes. This is inclusive of approval processes which occur online and leading the Change Advisory Board (CAB) Meetings. It will involve collaboration across all levels of management as it relates to oversight, enforcement and improvements to our change management processes
  • Team lead in handling periodic auditors' requests to meet SOX and PCI requirements
  • Monitor all change requests for categorization, accuracy, completeness, and required documentation.
  • Work with stakeholders to continually provide reporting for increased transparency into changes; present findings to key stakeholders
  • Provide governance and support to ensure:
  • Change & release policies are adhered to and violations are escalated
  • Changes are deployed according to the defined process
  • Any failures in the delivery of changes are reviewed, documented and escalated as needed
  • Reviews change requests for completeness, from documentation to post-implementation review.
  • Audits to ensure that change implementers are updating change records accurately and in a timely way.
Produces, oversees, and controls the change schedule.
  • Negotiates scheduling conflicts based on business priorities.
  • Participates in incident and problem analysis for possible consequences of a change and its implementation.
  • Communicates modifications to the change management community.
  • Provides training on the change management process.
2 Collaborate with peers to make recommendations to Sr. Manager and Sr. Director, Change Management to provide continuous improvement

3 Develop and maintain monthly dashboard of reporting metrics and communications

Complexity

This person acts independently in governing the daily activities of the team, in making recommendations involving operational processes and in acting as a people manager. The person works collaboratively with the with Sr. Manager and Director of Change Management in making decisions that impact the team and their day-to-day functions.

Scope/Financial Responsibility

This person is responsible for governance of these activities and in 'doing the right thing' for over 400 changes each month.

Experience/Certificates/Education
  • 5+ years Change Management experience
  • Change Management experience supporting both internal infrastructure changes as well as vendor-driven changes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Change Management.
  • ITIL Training
  • Knowledge of Systems Development Lifecycle (not Mandatory)
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and PCI requirements for CM
  • Experience with Assyst, Service Now, Visio, MS Office Suite, Power BI, Tableau and Confluence (mandatory)
