About the Role:
CARS Technology team is looking for a seasoned, transformative leader who is passionate about solving business problems with technology solutions. They should have a track record of identifying, designing, and implementing vendor solutions for Sales, Operations, HR, and Finance. They should have experience managing a Company's Technology presence: Productivity Tools, Help Desk, Voice, and Network Services. Being able to connect custom software solutions and products to those systems is another key consideration for this role. The ideal candidate will have experience designing Order to Cash processes and identifying ways to streamline Fulfillment and Operation of digital products.
This role is responsible for:
Working with the CTO and other senior technology leadership to deliver a clear enterprise technology strategy to support all business lines and products.
Consulting across all departments on how we can create efficiencies through Technology.
Partnership to understand and support Product and Software Engineering Roadmaps and the Applications and Products they build and maintain.
Implementation, Operation and maintenance of our Financial, HRIS, Enterprise Tools & Services, and Security Systems. Current examples include: Salesforce, Peoplesoft, ADP, SuccessFactors, Intranet, GSuite, Slack, JumpCloud, Proofpoint, and more
Understanding of Help Desk operations in support of our employee's technology needs.
Operation and maintenance of networks, Intranet, call center, corporate wide software, and Data Center/AWS services
Planning and execution of System Upgrades and Replacements of Legacy Systems
Management of resources (budget, time, and people) related to these systems
People leadership activities such as growing leaders, recruiting and onboarding, team engagement, and managing bandwidth and capacity.
Updates to Company, Departments, and Leadership around Technology improvements, projects, and plans.
Developing a Roadmap for Enterprise Technology maintenance and/or improvement of these systems.
Responsible for Compliance concerns related to Enterprise Technology (SOX, Audit Committee, Security).
Vendor relationship management related to Enterprise Technology.
Required Skills
Proven success in Enterprise Technology leadership roles that deliver technology support and solutions that support Sales, Finance, HR, Legal, and Operations departments.
Solid technical background, with hands-on software development experience that integrates with business technology solutions such as CRM, Financial, or Fulfillment systems.
Exceptional listening and communication skills, including the ability to gather requirements from, and engage with, non-technical Executives and their teams to design effective, efficient solutions.
Experience with compliance frameworks and requirements such as PCI, GLBA, HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2 etc.
Effective at building formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organizations
Strong influencing skills leading technology discussions at the senior leadership level
Ability to collaborate and manage relationships with other business units, external vendors and stakeholders
Maintains relationships across a variety of functions and locations
Draws upon multiple relationships to exchange ideas, resources, and know-how
Knows how businesses work and how organizations make money, applies knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals
Keeps up with current and possible future policies, practices, and trends in the organization, with the competition, and in the marketplace
Uses knowledge of business drivers and how strategies and tactics play out in the market to guide actions
Has the ability to effectively build formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization
Experience and Education
10+ years of leadership experience
5+ years in a DevOps leadership/executive role
5+ years managing teams of 10+ DevOps/software engineering professionals
5+ years of experience with security architecture or security management in complex, cloud-based environments
Experience leading CRM or ERP implementation and vendor migration projects
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
MBA or Master's Degree in a technical field a plus
CISSP or CISM certification a plus
