Job Description

In conjunction with business development officers, the account relationship manager is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Corporate Trust clients with the primary focus of managing the value of these relationships to the organization.


Key Duties may include:



  • Interact with CDO portfolio managers, investors, rating agencies, investment banks, auditors and other industry participants

  • Review and accept new client relationships based on business line account acceptance policies and procedures

  • Provide quality service based on client needs, wants, and expectations; act accordingly; remain sensitive and responsive to both internal and external clients; build distinctive predictable levels of service; resolve problems quickly and effectively

  • Work closely with new business development staff, serving as a collaborative business partner when supporting new business conversations from existing or prospective clients

  • Identify business risks and operational challenges and take steps to mitigate risk and enhance operating systems and processes.

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of operational changes within the unit. May be responsible for meeting certain revenue, new business and expense goals. May manage staff, hire new staff, and/or train staff to successfully meet business objectives

  • Coordinate the data analysis on large asset portfolios including cash reconciliation and asset attributes

  • Ensure compliance of CDO transactions by accurately comprehending and interpreting complex legal documents

  • Coordinate with both internal and external parties, the creation and distribution of monthly and quarterly investor reports


This role requires heavy involvement in preparing priority of payment calculations (waterfalls) and distribute amounts to CDO noteholders.


Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Seven to Ten years of relevant experience in trust administration/relationship management, CDO financial reporting or key client account management


Preferred Skills/Experience
- Thorough knowledge of corporate trust, CDOs, securitization and investment instruments
- Thorough knowledge of account management, trust operations, project management, and legal regulations
- Basic knowledge of the applicable corporate trust line of business, its products, processes, and related bank and regulatory regulations
- Ability to develop new business and partner as SME with business development teams
- Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance
- Excellent problem-solving, conflict management and negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills


- Ability to identify and mitigate potential risk
