The Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for developing, leading, and aligning the marketing strategy with our business goals and vision. This position will drive the implementation of marketing campaigns that meet business objectives and increase our opportunities for revenue growth and brand leadership within the industry.

The role will be responsible for digital marketing, market development, market research, and strategic direction for promotion and advertising. This position will support the business by driving new client-qualified leads, attracting incoming scribe applications, and enhancing the overall brand. The Vice President of Marketing will also gather customer, competitor, and market intelligence to support the organization while driving the strategic direction, planning, and budget of the Marketing department.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for leading product/service marketing, trade shows and sponsorships, lead generation, external/internal communications, advertising, website development and video production. Project-manage virtual and live events as needed.
  • Manage marketing automation tool (HubSpot) to execute campaigns and measure campaign engagement.
  • Lead creative/design execution associated with campaigns and ensure creative development is consistent with brand guidelines.
  • Manage social media strategy and execution. Oversee social media calendar ensuring consistent communications from all social channels; use best practices to improve social media visibility; work across marketing and other departments to advise and coordinate social media with business objectives. Lead the Social Media committee.
  • Manage website. Work with marketing team to ensure content is continuously updated and optimized. Monitor, assess, and report on website traffic; analyze website trends and identify areas for improvement. Proactively seek out ways to transform the company website into a lead machine for both new clients and future scribes.
  • Public Relations & Corporate Communication responsibilities: Build industry publication and association relationships to create earned advertising opportunities; draft press releases and other corporate communications.
  • Set the strategy and drive the implementation of integrated vertical marketing campaigns (across web, social, email, webinars, trade shows, customer success stories, etc.) Objectively measure ROI and effectiveness of lead generation campaigns against stated objectives. Monitor activity/KPIs within the department, delegate tasks, and follow up as needed.
  • Provide monthly Social media reporting and other reports as requested.
  • Accountable for the overall performance of Demand Generation: define, design and deliver effective strategies to support revenue growth with an emphasis on under-penetrated markets and business verticals.
  • Manage and optimize the marketing budget and ad spending monthly/annually.
  • Partner with Sales & Talent Acquisition to optimize social media channels to drive incoming client leads & scribe applicants.
  • Represent the company by attending in-person meetings with customers and partners, PR and social media events, trade shows, and conferences as needed.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications or similar relevant field; Master's degree a strong plus
  • Strong knowledge of SEO and web analytics
  • Critical thinker with a bias for action and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a rapidly changing environment
  • 5+ years of experience developing company marketing plans and campaigns
  • Experience with paid digital marketing, social media marketing and offline marketing
  • Capable of problem solving and owning outcomes, collaborating across multiple departments, and doing what is necessary to get the job done in a lean organization
  • Team player with a keen interest in being part of, and developing, high-performing teams
