Social Media Marketing Intern

Watch The Block is looking for individuals who are passionate about social justice and making an impact in their community. The ideal Social Media Marketing Intern is an individual who can hit the ground running, is not afraid to share their ideas and is excited about the idea of helping to build a start up.

We are seeking a Social Media Marketing Intern to assist with the performance of the following tasks:

• Managing the Watch The Block social media accounts


• Boost followers & create social media content that speaks to diverse audiences


• Assist with content generation


• Contribute to creative and strategy meetings


• Perform light administrative work as needed


• Find and reach out to Influencers


• Perform other duties as assigned to assist in company growth

This person should:

• Have a deep understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Youtube, and LinkedIn


• Possess strong writing skills and a solid understanding of the rules of grammar


• Be a proactive communicator who isn’t afraid to ask for the support he or she needs


• Be an independent thinker but a team player.


• Have strong time-management skills


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, etc.)


• Experience with creating content using Photoshop, Canva and Video editing software

Watch the Block focuses on Impact Investing, Data, Mobile Application, and Community Development. Their company has offices in New York City. They have a small team that's between 1-10 employees.
