Due to growth and customer demand, currently recruiting for a Field Application Engineer within our Analytics and Integration Group. This is a 100% remote US based role. Our ideal incumbent will be based close to a major airport in the continental United States.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

As a member of our Analytics and Integration Group, you will be responsible towards the performance of RF field measurements, RF safety studies, RF troubleshooting and site surveys. These field studies are in support of new ground-based satellite antenna facilities. In addition, this position will solve interference issues in the field using a spectrum analyzer and will interact directly with the engineering team to resolve interference and signal level-related issues. This position works as member of a team with other engineers, technical assistants, project managers, and departments. A successful candidate in this role will be someone who consistently exhibits good customer service skills orally and in writing. This includes satisfactory turn-around time on projects, good organization, keeping the client informed of work status and being responsive to client requests. You will be working remotely at customer sites and need to securely upload data to the Sterling, VA office for review and analysis This role involves extensive travel (up to 80% of the time) both domestic and international and function autonomously in the field. Travel will be needed when conducting RF field measurements or site surveys. Incumbents will be expected to stand, walk, and sit for an extended period while performing duties. You may be required to work outside in adverse weather conditions. Candidates will be required to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:
  • HS Diploma
  • Proficiency in RF Measurements using Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, RF Meters and other RF test equipment
  • Experience with geographic coordinate systems and map datums
  • Understanding of RF Measurement Principles
  • Proficiency in Windows suite of office tool
  • Proficiency in the use of related field equipment such as Laser range finder, theodolite and GPS
  • Must be able to travel up to 80% of the time. Will need passport as domestic and international travel are required.
You will excite us if you have:
  • Previous experience performing earth station surveys and/or installations
  • Demonstrated understanding of interference analysis, microwave design, RF power density measurements and technologies such as GSM, CDMA, GPRS, UMTS, HSDPA, WiMax and LTE.
  • Previous military experience (Air Force-3D1X3, Army-25P/25S, Navy-ET-14CM/ET-14333)
  • FCC amateur radio license

Anticipated annual base salary range dependent on candidate's location, experience and qualifications: $74,000 - $84,000.
