We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Event Manager to lead our growing Engagement team. Our new Engagement leader will be responsible for driving a bold growth strategy across all of our brands. You'll lead the team through exciting engagement opportunities, partnerships within the community, and event strategy. This position will report directly to the Manager of Sales Engagement, will participate in building and developing a best in class sales engagement organization, developing more sophisticated events management and ensuring the underlying support infrastructure is in place to support growth and innovation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage medium to large scale regional and national B2B and K-12 events for KinderCare at Work and Champions to ensure maximum exposure with the goal of generating new leads for the Sales Team
  • Coordinate with Sales leadership in developing a strategy for determining which events provide optimal visibility in alignment with current product offerings and goals
  • Manage other lead-generating events requested by Partnership Managers and Sales Leadership
  • Oversee all aspects of event planning and management including but not limited to:

-Establish initial contact and ongoing rapport with event leaders
-Negotiate and pay registration and cost for event attendees
-Identify and secure appropriate event space
-Plan and oversee hospitality events and event sponsorships
-Partner with Sales lead to identify a strategic plan for the event
-Collaborate with in-house Marketing Teams to create event-specific content and facilitate stakeholder feedback for invites, Ads, and collateral to be used for each event

  • Input all leads generated from events into company CRM (Salesforce.com)
  • Track all conference expenses for regional and national conferences vs budget
  • Report on ROI for all events (leads generated, opportunities created, revenue generated)
  • Manage event budgets and ensure business objectives are met
  • Serve as primary contact for a third-party storage and shipment vendor to ensure all event materials and items are safely stored and shipped on time to and from each event
  • Manage promotional item inventory and create new promotional items that meet the team's needs and company's brand identity
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with internal NSC partners, such as our in-house creative team, to develop event-related creative needs, or other partners to stay updated on current happenings for the Champions brand
  • Work closely with the Sales Engagement team to distribute appropriate event content and collateral
  • Create, develop content, and maintain a monthly Business Development (BD) team newsletter to keep the team informed and up to date
  • Review and edit formal proposals submitted for new business
  • Other duties and projects to be assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-3 years related experience
  • 4-year degree in Marketing, Business, or related capacity preferred
  • Proficiency with a desktop computer is required; Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel strongly desired
  • Experience with Salesforce.com CRM
  • Experience working with content design tools and process
  • Ability to recognize the needs of different events and diverse clients, while addressing challenging and identifying solutions quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of internal and external contacts in a positive and professional manner
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and prioritize issues requiring response in order of importance and level of urgency
  • Up to / approximately 50-75% travel
  • Some light lifting required
