Internal Investigations Lead – Assistant Vice President
Wilmington, DE

As a Barclays Internal Investigations Lead – Assistant Vice President (AVP), you will be directly responsible for conducting analysis of process data and outcomes to identify anomalies and inconsistencies. This position will give you opportunity to provide oversight of the internal fraud process by acting as an early warning for potential issues.  Along with, validation of a healthy fraud program to minimize risk will be part of the role.

What will you be doing?

•    Providing thought leadership to develop, implement, and bolster internal anomaly detection 
•    Understanding and identifying data focussed trends and development of broad strategies to address the findings
•    Being responsible for developing early warning indictor, anomaly and result trend reporting
•    Conducting data analysis that will encourage recommendations on thresholds and risk indicators
•    Being responsible for providing summary business level details on overall internal fraud risks
•    Escalating identified risks which may result in unacceptable fraud controls and losses
•    Providing support, including analysis, to various strategic fraud initiatives outlined by the business and Fraud Strategy leadership
•    Supporting stakeholder requests for deep dive analysis for strategy optimization

What we’re looking for:

•    A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline like Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research etc. or work experience equivalent
•    Exceptional analytical skills, technical skills in SAS/SQL with proven ability to process a large amount of data into meaningful information
•    Attention to detail, and ability to set and meet deadlines while managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
•    Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, along with the ability to think on your own and question proposed plans

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Experience developing risk and process monitoring analytics and reporting 
•    Experience in mining large amounts of distributed data to conduct anomaly and exception analysis
•    Knowledge and understanding on Data Science (Hadoop/Big Data/Machine Learning
•    Self-motivated while working with leadership to define the path forward and build from the bottom up
