Position:   IT Project Manager

Location:  Seattle, WA(Remote)

Duration:  6 months, and potential to extend

Job Description

Years of Relevant Experience:

• Five or more years of professional project management experience.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, education, or other related area; OR years of project management experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.
• PMP certification or similar desired.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Industry standards and best practices for Project Management methodology, including the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK).
• Software/Product Development Life cycle methodologies and best practices (SDLC/PCLC) for standard activities including procurement, requirements analysis, design, development, testing, documentation/training.
• High level understanding of standard IT business functions that support ongoing operations as well as new functionality.
• Knowledge of and experience with complex business application structures and functions.
• Quality Management and Business Process Improvement techniques
• Standard IT and Business analysis techniques
• Standard office productivity tools (such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
• Modern office practices and procedures, including equipment utilization.
• Very strong facilitation skill with solid 'toolkit' of facilitation techniques
• Budgeting
• Resource needs identification, selection, assignment, and management
• Risk and issue identification and management
• Scope identification and management

• Leads and influences project stakeholders and team members effectively without direct authority
• Very strong customer focus helps maintain project focus on the core business needs being resolved with technology tools.
