The Challenge:
Do you want to build a powerhouse system that will increase the operational efficiency of a fast-paced organization providing mission critical training to defense personnel throughout the world? You know a good system is more than just a nice-looking interface + data and you need the right combination of programming expertise to build a user focused solution. As a software developer, you ll deliver solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment. We re looking for someone like you to build and enhance mission critical software solutions from vision to production-ready system.
As a software developer on our team, you ll work directly with your customers to overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches like data architecture, rule-based, and event driven alongside open source frameworks and tools like PHP, JavaScript, Ajax, MySQL, MariaDB, HTML, CSS, XML, Java, and C++. You ll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques to implement system improvements and mentor teammates. Using Agile software development and stakeholder collaboration you ll build a web-based scheduling, resource management and reporting system, as well as a network packet routing and filtering system, that are both critical to the client s daily operations and enable distributed mission operations training. You ll code and deliver the solution that supports the current architecture and operating environment, as well as drive future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:
- 5+ years of experience with software development using PHP, JavaScript, Ajax, MySQL, MariaDB, HTML, CSS, XML, Java, or C++
- 5+ years of experience with implementing and supporting APIs
- Ability to work with Agile software development, Software Development Lifecycle processes, and debugging and analysis tools
- Ability to lead a team of software developers to work together across multiple projects
- Ability to gather requirements and transform the information into solutions that exceed customer expectations
- Ability to prepare and present findings and recommendations to organization leadership
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 6 months of hire
- 7+ years of experience with web application software development using PHP, JavaScript, Ajax, MySQL, MariaDB, HTML, CSS, XML, Java, or C++
- 7+ years of experience with implementing and supporting APIs between internal and external system components
- 5+ years of experience leading a team of software developers to work together across multiple projects
- Ability to learn new programming languages and technologies via self-study and collaboration with team members
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
- Security+ Certification, Software Development, IT, or IA Certifications
