As an Innovation Lead within PNC's Innovation Group of Excellence organization, you will be based anywhere PNC has a foot print or remote.

As an Innovation Lead you will engage with business partners to leverage a human centered design approach to solve complex problems in a manner that meets the customers’ needs and sets PNC apart in the marketplace. You will lead projects from concept to launch as well as intervene at various stages of projects that require thoughtful consulting and expertise. Through collaboration with teammates and line of business partners, you will develop vision and strategy, execute research, prototyping and testing and carry concepts through execution.

• Have strong experience designing and executing qualitative research and synthesizing research findings into insights and creating design solutions and/or impacting business strategy
• Have strong experience with leading and executing generative research in order to find new opportunities.
• Familiarity working with Service and UX Designers.
• Are familiar with product management or business analytics
• Believe in and apply the tenets of human centered design
• Are an outstanding communicator and team collaborator
• Are driven by empathy and a passion for understanding people
• Have experience with diverse user research/fieldwork methods
• Are familiar with and have executed a variety of methodologies including 1:1 interviews, moderating group conversations, facilitate ideation sessions, running live prototype sessions
• Enjoy mentoring colleagues and partners

Job Description

  • Manages innovation activities to meet organizational needs and to capitalize on potential new product opportunities.
  • Develops, manages and implements a portfolio of innovation projects.
  • Advises senior management and internal clients to understand the results and implications of innovation initiatives.
  • Implements and executes the defined innovation strategy.
  • Partners with internal and external resources to meet organizational needs and to capitalize on potential new product opportunities.

Innovation – Develops new ideas and initiatives that improve the performance of the organization.

Interpersonal Relationships – Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Planning: Tactical, Strategic – Ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

Product Design and Development – Knowledge of and ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.

Qualitative Research – Knowledge of and ability to gain insight concerning the attitudes, beliefs, motivations and behaviors related to an organization's products, services and businesses.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Additional Job Description

This is a remote position and can sit anywhere within the PNC footprint, except for Colorado, Hawaii or Alaska. There is limited expectation for regular in person, in office activities.

Base Salary: Commensurate with skills and experience.
