What are we looking for?

BetterHelp is looking for a Partnership Development Manager to support our Partnerships team and drive user-acquisition growth by initiating new business partnerships through strategic business development, collaborative consumer marketing partnerships, and partner paid acquisition campaigns.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through new partnerships across multiple channels and verticals, including strategic business development and B2B2C partnerships with leading brands, as well as through partner direct response advertising and content campaigns (e.g. with Celebrities, Media Publishers, high user-volume sites and apps, etc.).

Ideally, you will have proven success in business development and enjoy building strong, profitable relationships with partners. You are excited about prospecting new partners, closing deals, and developing new relationships into high-performing partner portfolios. What will you do

  • Prospect, identify, negotiate, and onboard new partners and affiliates to grow our partner portfolio in various channels and verticals, extend BetterHelp s reach and awareness and drive new user acquisition.
  • Manage and develop new partnerships, to capture their full revenue potential and add value to new and growing communities, through marketing collaborations and traffic-driving advertising campaigns that increase awareness and grow user acquisition.
  • Own tracking, reporting, and full-funnel data analysis to optimize partner KPIs, including acquisition cost and campaign ROA, to meet and exceed performance goals.
  • Identify, evaluate and explore new partnerships, verticals, and different business models, and test new potential revenue streams - We love creative and smart experimentation!
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
    • Marketing: incorporate learnings from other channels across our partner portfolio and unlock small wins; to A/B test new creatives and ad copy across partners
    • Legal and Compliance: ensure our existing partners and affiliates are complying with requirements outlined in our agreements; partner on audits
    • Data: to analyze the performance of campaigns and request additional campaign and user insights
    • Product: to find product-related wins within the partner channel; to communicate new, valuable customer features to content partners for content refreshes

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully prospecting, closing deals, recruiting strategic partners and launching highly beneficial partnerships.
  • Strong core digital marketing disciplines knowledge, combined with extensive analytical and data-driven performance marketing and paid acquisition experience, including social, search, display media, influencers, etc.
  • Creative, entrepreneurial and enthusiastic deal closer who thrives in a startup environment and is able to pivot priorities quickly and balance multiple projects.
  • Exceptional communication (oral and written), presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to close deals and campaigns with partners on all levels.
  • Ability to create strong rapport and build and foster long term impactful relationships.
  • Diligent, thorough and uncompromising in respect to maintaining excellent partner relationships, brand safety and any legal compliance.
  • Basic technical knowledge of affiliate traffic links and APIs.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in similar position(s) with a track record of success in either: business development, partner/account management, and/or performance marketing

Bonus (Great to have, but not required)

  • Track record of successfully sourcing, closing and executing deals
  • Experience with an affiliate management program such as: HasOffers/Tune, Impact Radius, CJ, or Rakuten
  • Experience with paid media marketing campaigns and tools (Facebook, Adwords, etc)
  • Bachelor s in Marketing Strategy, Business Development, Sales or, any quantitative
  • discipline such as Statistics, Math, Economics
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, Google Analytics
  • Experience in Healthtech industry

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus, RSU's and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2023. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
