What success looks like in this role:

Unisys is seeking a Global Sales Vice President to lead its global sales organization. This strategic practitioner will be responsible for designing and executing the global new logo sales strategy by leading actionable go-to-market consultative selling initiatives that target prospective clients whom play to the strengths of Unisys’ services offerings. Will work closely with and lead Sales Executive’s (hunters), Engagement Director’s (closers) and Channel/Alliance sales teams to ensure a coherent approach to maximizing and articulating the collective Unisys value proposition to prospective clients. This leader will engage with the sales teams throughout the sales lifecycle to build qualified pipeline for future deal making and lead sales teams in their efforts in understanding prospective client’s challenges to ensure the right business and technology transformation journey is defined for prospective clients.


Targeted Impact:


  • Manage actual performance to budget, with variance analyses, revised projections and strategic assessment and revision where required.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with C-Suite decision makers and influence prospective client buying behaviors through thought leadership and business-solution driven architectures that effectively address prospective client’s transformational opportunities and operational risks.

  • Engage senior prospective client stakeholders in a process of defining and refining their vision for technology-based transformation.

  • Bring insight to defining digital/technology/IT/process project/program planning processes together with Unisys’ sales teams to define the best approach for each prospective client’s unique transformational challenges.

  • Lead sales teams in complex engagement definition discussions.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective client’s senior-most leadership supporting the scope of products and services (in partnership with deal capture and other teams leading on into transition and delivery) across prospective client work-streams.

  • Identify and work with the Unisys’ Leadership Team, to challenge the delivery & solution organizations to be prepared to grow and change to increase our technology service offerings and revenue, such that we are not just focused on what we do today, but where will be in the future.


You will be successful in this role if you have:


  • Requires a Bachelor’s or equivalent and a minimum 15 years of sales, management and/or industry experience.

  • Expert knowledge in sales management, sales activity and sales and business processes with a broad knowledge of sales cycles, product and solution offerings and go-to-market strategies.

  • Excellent financial acumen with the ability to manage and meet/exceed sales targets while taking required corrective actions to ensure sales targets are achieved.

  • Expert in negotiating complex contractual agreements to successful outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and motivate a "remote" team, working across a global organization’s reporting structure to foster trust and cooperation and to navigate and achieve success within a complex, matrixed organization.

  • Experience in developing long-term trust-based relationships with the C-suite and key executives.

  • Entrepreneurial and pioneering DNA with a specific focus on driving results that make an impact and hit the bottom line.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple sets of senior stakeholder relationships at one time, and through relationship continuity, provide feedback loops critical to ensuring top-tier results on Unisys’ engagements.

  • Ability to drive the pre-deal ideation and visioning process to achieve aggressive and qualified sales goals.

  • Lead by example, both on site with prospective clients and internal teams.

  • Foster enthusiastic followership among client/peers/team members.

  • Set high standards for self and team.

  • Provides strong leadership and encourages input from the team in the decision-making process.
