Job Description Associate Director IT Operations PDT Takeda Pharmaceutical USA - IL - Bannockburn or Boston About the role:

The Associate Director IT Operations PDT Leads the PDT DD&T Dev Ops Infrastructure team and builds strong strategic relationships with both Takeda DD&T team and BioLife business function. Join Takeda as a Associate Director IT Operations PDT where you will managing all aspects of donor center technology and support the evolving technology landscape across the globe. You will also insure that projects and services align with and support the overall business and IT strategy. As part of the Plasma-Derived Therapies team, you will report to Head of PDT IT Support and Services Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT) DD&T .

How you will contribute:
  • Develop working relationships with partners for PDT including BioLife donor centers to ensure DD&T - Business understanding at strategic, tactical and operational level.

  • Accountable for the efficient overall implementation of application support at our donor centers.

  • Responsible for the design, implementation of PDT DD&T DevOps process and team.

  • Develop and implement the PDT DD&T Tier 3 Support and Operations.

  • Be the liaison with the other Takeda GD&T teams and outside vendors to ensure delivery of technology solutions to donor centers.

  • Identify, screen and evaluate new application support opportunities to address unmet business needs.

  • Collaboration with the Donor Engagement/Donation Management product teams to ensure collaboration and hand-off between development and operations.

  • Seek opportunities to refine and simplify the application support and services.

  • Manage the daily service delivery by coordinating with internal and external partners to ensure systems are functioning as promised and that they deliver value to PDT.

  • Improve application support for BioLife systems such as DIS, DPS, DRS, etc.

  • Collaborate with DD&T organization to ensure that appropriate service design and definition/adherence to SLAs.

  • People management responsibilities; coach staff in core IT competencies and support professional development and job enrichment opportunities for team members.

  • Communicate decisions, priorities and project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding IT requests, projects.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering.

  • Minimum 7 years managing or directing technology infrastructure projects.

  • 5 years of service management experience.

  • 8+ years of working experience managing large external service provider partnerships.

  • 5+ years' experience in an IT role designing, installing and supporting applications and infrastructure across hundreds of retail locations.

  • 3+ years experience managing global teams.

  • Advanced degree in business or technology or MBA or PMP preferred.

  • Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.

  • Expertise in budget planning and financial management.
