The Opportunity:
The Project Manager will create and manage sales proposals and project management for customer orders through determining project schedule, time requirements, monitoring progress, coordinating activities, sequencing project elements and problem solving.
How you will impact WestRock:
* Generate proposals for Sales Specialists through:
* Identifying appropriate equipment (speed, size range, cost.)
* Determine project specification by reviewing carton design, customer requirements, performance standards and costing structures.
* Review proposal mechanics such as equipment overview, specifications, sequence of operations.

* Project management responsibilities for customer orders:
* Determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements.
* Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities and resolving problems.
* Control project plan by reviewing timelines, coordinating deliverables, communicating expectations, implement changes, identifying and controlling critical paths.
* Ability to schedule, plan, monitor, prepare and complete action plans
* Resolve problems and implement changes.
* Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements.
* Initiate corrective actions.
* Maintain project database by entering information and data in a timely manner.
* Review quotes from OEMs and contractors.
* Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
* Generate project proposals and plans.
What you will need to succeed:
* Bachelors' degree in engineering or similar technical discipline.
* 5 years of packaging industry experience - Required
* Project management experience- Required
* Technical understanding of packaging equipment
* Documentation skills
* Working knowledge of MS Office software
* Excellent communication skills
* Enhance department and organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
* Teamwork approach
* Up to 30% travel - Required
