Overview:

The Director of Human Resources applies strategy and executes the core HR functions. Provides support to management, serves as a go-to resource for corporate teams and manages programs that shape the employee’s experience. Will provide support and service in accordance with the Aman’s Core Ambitions, Purpose, Brand Pillars, Values, Competencies, and Spirit.

Responsibilities:
  • Building relationships with employees and leaders across the organization

  • Service-oriented problem solver, has an insatiable appetite for learning and is motivated by driving continuous improvement.
  • Providing day-to-day support to leaders and managers through coaching, career guidance, performance feedback, etc.

  • Partnering with legal and outside counsel as needed to reduce legal risk and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Experienced with people and technology (like ADP and Office 365), this savvy business leader offers expertise that enables our team to consistently deliver results.

  • General HR administration, recruitment, compensation, performance and employee development and relations.

  • Acting as a trusted and credible partner who anticipates needs and proactively recommends solutions

  • Serving as an active member of the HR team, shaping the agenda, strategy and priorities

  • Assessing employee climate, track trends in behaviors, and offer solutions to leaders as appropriate

  • Facilitating ongoing performance management

  • Monitoring progress and providing developmental support to employees at all levels of the organization

  • Compile, prepare, and present compensation data to executive leadership

  • Overseeing the participation in salary surveys and monitor market data to ensure the achievement of business objectives, recommending changes as necessary

  • Partnering with external vendor to conduct benchmarking analysis

  • Partnering with finance and management teams to drive annual review and documentation of salary planning

  • Maintaining the Company’s job architecture, job descriptions, hierarchy, pay ranges, etc.

  • Managing year-end compensation planning, processing, and reporting

  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations



Qualifications:
  • Strong business acumen

  • Expertise in behavior, change management, talent management, policy implementation, employee relations and communication.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required

  • 10+ years of human resource management experience required

  • Luxury hospitality experience a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Superior interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

  • Proficient with ADP, Microsoft Office or related software

  • Quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
