The Role at a Glance:


We are excited to bring on a Hyland Alfresco developer to our Document Intake & Storage team within Lincoln’s Information Technology and Enterprise Services organization. The Hyland Alfresco developer provides guidance to project teams looking to integrate with the Alfresco platform. The developer serves as a technical subject matter expert for the platform and for the homegrown ingestion framework (IF) that was designed to process and load documents into Alfresco. The overall scope of responsibilities for the role include design, development, and operational support of the platform.


What you'll be doing:

  • Analyzes, designs, codes, debugs, integrates and tests increasingly complex Alfresco integration solutions.

  • Provides input and validates increasingly complex project plans, test plans and implementation plans.

  • Defines detailed development tasks, task dependencies and estimates to complete work.

  • Designs and implements content models within Alfresco

  • Defines and implements document retention schedules within Alfresco

  • Documents increasingly complex programs and procedures.

  • Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Investigates and resolves problems including providing support for production systems in a timely manner.

What we're looking for:


Must-haves:

  • Technically proficient in the following languages/frameworks, application platforms and developer tools (3-5 years of experience):
    • 3-5 years of working Experience in JAVA platform.

    • Proficient in using JEE Frame-works: Spring Boot Technologies, and Apache Camel.

    • Experience and technical proficiency in Java/JEE technologies, Microservices, Spring boot , Restful API.

    • Good in Core java concepts including Collections, Exception Handling, Generics, multi-threading, data structures and algorithms.

    • Experience working with MAVEN as Build tool, log4j for logging, Splunk for log aggregation/troubleshooting and STS/Eclipse as IDE, agile tool JIRA

    • Experience building CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab

    • Experience with containers – specifically Docker Swarm

    • Experience working with Alfresco (preferably their cloud hosted solution –
      • Alfresco Content Services (ACS)

      • Content model design & development

      • Search and indexing

      • User Interfaces (UI) - Alfresco Digital Workspace (ADW) / Share

      • Alfresco Governance Services (AGS)

    • Good working knowledge on code management repo GIT

    • Good understanding of AWS cloud computing services (S3, EMR, EC2, EBS )

Nice-to-haves:

  • Technically proficient in the following languages/frameworks, application platforms and developer tools:
    • Work experience in end-to-end development and migrating the application to Cloud using the Amazon web services(AWS) availing various services of AWS like EC2, S3 & Lambda. IAM, Cloud formation and Springboot on AWS.

    • Exposure in working with devops model and developed many pipelines for CI and CD from Jenkins to GitLab.

    • Exposure in GITLab tool for developing pipelines and good understanding on Gitlab concepts like cache, artifacts, environments, variables, Gitlab runner and its architecture.

    • Work experience developing customizations in the Alfresco Digital Workspace (ADW) user interface angular and node.js
