JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to provide move management/relocation services on a wide range of projects and activities such as office moves and reconfigurations inclusive of MAC s (Move Adds and Changes Projects) for assigned buildings, to meet customer requirements, internal policies and procedures, external legal requirements and report to the clients. As a Senior relocation project manager you willexecute all MAC activities to plan and manage all lab related moves, within the write-up office space and lab space, including lab equipment for the Cambridge site.

This is not a remote role, this is a Hybrid role. The selected senior relocation project manager will be required to report to the facility in Cambridge, MA a minimum of three days per week, or as project volumes and activities dictate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinates the delivery of move projects, workspace changes resources, including vendor management within office and laboratory environments.

Plans office moves or reconfiguration/delivery of projects, determining resources, monitoring performance, development of project schedules, work plans, budget, quality control and assigning work tracks, monitors and oversees all related moves.

Develop scope (and specifications) through obtaining quotations and administering the successful completion of the project including monitoring contractor s performance.

Works directly with clients, workspace coordinator, facility managers and contractors to coordinate and successfully complete move projects; acts as team lead and serves as single point of contact for all furniture policy issues.

Coordinates strategic planning for moves, adds, and/or changes and delivers budgetary forecasting.

Develops and maintains high level and detailed move database logistics/migration plans, for lab space and office relocation, fit-out and projects. Tracks and monitors inventory of furniture and workstations. Develops and maintains tracking mechanisms for monthly reports.

Sources and manages required contractors and/or vendors, assisting in tendering for projects; manages the request for proposal process for physical moves and crate services.

Leads relocation coordination meetings with end users and other major stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress on scope, budget, schedule and risks.

Develops a detailed communications plan for moves including newsletters, move instructions, welcome packages, etc.

Support the regional furniture portfolio and identify existing furniture solutions currently in place.

Performs other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees, contractors and vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and at least four years of related experience and/or training in two or more of the following areas: move management, facility management, facility planning in a lab space environment, interior design, architecture, engineering, or related field.

Intermediate skills with MS Office Suite, AutoCAD and the ability to useand update a CAFM system such as FMS, Serraview, Tririga, Cornerstone, etc.

Previous experience within a cGMP, lab or life sciences facility strongly preferred.

Valid Drivers License is required for this role.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

PMP preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Basic knowledge in leases, contracts, and construction practices.

Intermediate AutoCAD skills, working knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation.

Ability to use and update a CAFM system such as FMS, Serraview, Tririga, Cornerstone, etc.
