Description:
Omnilert is searching for a Sr Software Developer to support our life-saving project related to real-time AI weapons detection and emergency communications.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing, testing, and analyzing software related to video streaming services using common libraries such as:
- g_streamer, ffmpeg, OpenCv, and Nvidia DeepStream
- Monitoring the performance of Omnilert’s weapons detections systems and supporting the maintenance and analysis of such systems
- Developing automated tests to improve Continuous Integration/Continuous Development procedures
- Testing software builds prior to release and debugging issues/concerns as reported by fielded products
- Performing field tests of the weapons detection system including data collection, data annotation, training, and testing the trained detector.
- Load testing activities to improve system efficiency with large volumes of streaming video data
- Developing software tooling related to the managing of training and testing resources for Deep Learning and AI systems

- C++, Embedded c, python, Jira, GitHub, computer vision, software development, software testing, image processing, aws, docker
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- 1 – 3 years of software development experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with C/C++ and Python
- Extensive knowledge of build and release methodologies will be a strong advantage
- Experience in working with external teams and partners to accomplish goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate as a team member using GitHub, Slack, and Jira
- Bachelor of Science from an accredited institution in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering is desired, but candidates with demonstrated expertise or equivalent experience in relevant fields will be given equal consideration.
