Medical Coder - Hybrid

(This role is 80% remote however candidates must live near the Cincinnati Ohio area due to REQUIRED in office monthly meetings)

We are hiring a Medical Coder for a busy billing office located on site in the Cincinnati area!

The ideal Medical Coder will offer hands-on experience in medical coding, comply with all legal requirements regarding coding procedures and practices, conduct audits and coding reviews to ensure all documentation is accurate and precise. Furthermore , you will assign and sequence all codes for services rendered; collaborate with billing department to ensure all bills are satisfied in a timely manner; communicate with insurance companies about coding errors and disputes; contact physicians and other healthcare professionals with questions about treatments or diagnostic tests given to patients with regard to coding procedures; and more as you grow and evolve in the role!  

2 years’ medical coding experience

Excellent typing and 10-key speed and accuracy

Commitment to high level of customer service

Familiarity with ICD-10 codes and procedures

Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
