An aluminum extrusion company in Boardman is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team!

Summary:Â Coordinate plant quality functions for new launch programs. This task involves participating in APQP meetings

Â

Responsibilities:

• Play a key role in APQP processes, assist with new product and process launches; new part approval process including product planning, validation, and verification activities
• Prepare PPAP (Product Part Approval Process) submissions to customers and retain PPAP samples
• Develop, maintain, and improve documents related to the QMS- control plans, PFMEAs, etc.
• Interface with sales and manufacturing to ensure transfer to production of new products are in accordance with approved data

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor†s Degree in a Technical Field is preferred
• Associate degree with appropriate experience may also be considered with ASQ Certification(s) in Quality Engineering/Quality Analyst/Quality Auditor
• Three to five years of experience working in a quality control manufacturing setting with direct involvement in Quality Control
• Quality Systems experience, ISO9001/TS16949/AS9100C
• APQP †PPAP
• Solid grasp of quality management tools & methods- AIAG Core Tools
• Basic knowledge of Statistical Process Control and other Quality problem-solving techniques
• Experience in the automotive industry is a plus
• Ability to make decisions based on facts, regulations, and policies
• Ability to read blueprints/process drawings, (GD&T) Preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects successfully
• Strong communication skills
• Technical competence, analytical skills in data analysis & MS Office applications
• Mechanically inclined

Shift:Â Monday-Friday (Saturdays often) 7am-3pm (OT could be until 5pm)

Pay Rate:Â $24.00 - $30.00/hour BOE
