The Public Health Accreditation Coordinator is a Management Analyst located in the Public Health System Improvement Office (PHSIO) and is responsible for: conducting analysis work on policies and procedures and recommending changes to improve the quality of public health services; supporting Quality Improvement and Performance Management strategies; providing professional support services to the PHSD programs and to local and Tribal health departments; and coordinating accreditation and reaccreditation processes and evaluating state-wide accreditation preparedness. This position does not directly supervise other personnel.

What You Can Offer Us
- Experience leading and coordinating successful internal quality improvement and performance improvement methodologies with specific knowledge of the Plan, Do, Study, Act quality improvement process and the Public Health Performance Management System.
- Knowledge of public health management practices, policy, programs, initiatives, and functions.
- Ability to train various quality improvement and performance improvement methodologies with particular emphasis on the Plan, Do, Study, Act method.
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills to include presentations and comprehensive analysis reporting on public health issues related to continuous quality improvement.
- Meet minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business management, public health, education or behavioral/social sciences and five years of experience working for a state, local, or tribal health department on programmatic activities OR a graduate degree in public health or related field and three years of experience working for a state, local, or tribal health department on programmatic activities.
- Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business management, public health, education or behavioral/social sciences and five years of experience working for a state, local, or tribal health department on programmatic activities OR a graduate degree in public health or related field and three years of experience working for a state, local, or tribal health department on programmatic activities.
