Title: Chief Marketing Officer
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Classification/FLSA Status: Regular Full-time/Exempt
LOCATION: 7007 Idlewild Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212
POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of the council leadership team, work closely with the council s Chief Executive Officer, and leadership team in setting the organization s strategic direction and translating the vision and corporate goals set by the council s Board of Directors, into effective, operational strategies and actions to meet the council s strategic goals and objectives. Accountable for ensuring achievement of Council overall strategic plan. Continuously cultivate and maintain positive relationships between the council, board members, membership, and the community to increase public awareness and increase support of the Girl Scouts program. Responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining the council s image and brand. The incumbent takes a leadership role in creating, implementing and managing strategies for public relations, communications, media, and marketing campaigns to promote Girl Scouting to internal and external audiences, using all forms of media available to increase girl and adult membership and gain financial and community support. Oversees the development and implementation of a variety of marketing initiatives to generate leads for both girls and adult volunteers. Serves as lead functional subject matter expert, and may supervise marketing and communications staff.
