The Technical Program Manager role will support a team of Engineers leading Software Architecture development within Ford's Advanced EV teams. You will provide leadership and product development support that aid in the development of the vehicles electrical, software and hardware systems design and architecture. You will collaborate with Advanced EV leadership to assess emerging technologies for potential use on next gen Advanced EV programs. You will help hire, train, and mentor employees to establish the technical competency and domain expertise required to successfully meet Program objectives. You will promote a team environment and facilitate intra & inter-group coordination. You will track cost and schedule performance for the product development process. You will guide concept development and technology selection and aid product development and manufacturing teams to comprehensively understand and effectively respond to vehicle program needs.

W* *hat you'll be able to do:
- Manage the development of next generation electrical software platform solutions for electric vehicles.
- Integrate early product architectures into Ford GPDS Industrial Development process and manufacturing.
- Manage Engineering resource investment and material budget.
- Clearly communicate toolchain product vision to team members and stakeholders.
- Actively manage feature definition and articulate functional expectations to Engineers and stakeholders.
- Support Engineers in initiating and leading discussions with cross-functional Engineering Teams.
- Bridge the gaps between Ford Engineering Teams across the globe, pulling together the appropriate participants to solve complex Engineering problems.
- Help identify product development milestone expectations.
- Communicates openly and frequently with the team by being responsive to in-person and virtual prompts.
- Actively works to remove impediments and blockers to team delivery.
- Assesses the overall health of the product and prompts key decisions to move it forward.
- Identify and track key system decisions that establish technology roadmaps and product architecture.
- Continuous development & improvement of advanced EV system development processes.
- Enable effective communications with manufacturing, supply chain, and other engineering teams to deliver optimal design solutions.
- Support presentations of concepts and status to senior management and internally to company personnel in an integration and subject matter expert role.
The minimum requirements we seek:
- B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years in program language experience; preferable C++, C#, and C
- 10+ years of Program Management and/or Program Strategy
- 10+ years in innovative design and technology
- Experience in Product Development timeline design, product milestones and delivery
- Have a proactive attitude and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where the toolset is continuously evolving
Our Preferred Requirements:
- Masters in Electrical, Mechanical, Software Engineering
- Masters in Engineering Management
- Hands-on experience building and launching automotive products and vehicle prototyping
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Confluence, and Jira applications
- Experience with instrumentation of prototype vehicles in a controlled lab environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team
