We Are Hiring Sign On Bonus: Up to $3750 (see below for requirements) Title: Vascular Tech Department: Peripheral Vascular Lab Schedule: Part time Week Days (7 or 8am start) with Saturday rotation (five 8 hour shifts within a 2 week period)- NO ON CALL REQUIREMENTS Hospital: Ascension St Francis Hospital Location: 355 Ridge Ave, Evanston IL Compassionate, personalized care has a new name. What You Will Do Perform vascular diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstructions. + Evaluate patient for presence of peripheral vascular disease by selecting most effective procedures within regulatory and compliance guidelines. + Perform appropriate diagnostic procedures, record patient test results, and report results.

+ Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities, or changes in patient responses. + Maintain adequate supplies and verify all equipment is in proper working condition; report deficiencies and failures. + Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.

+ Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards. + Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history). + Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area, and any other areas in department.

What You Will Need Licensure/Certification/Registration: + BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. + One or more of the following: + Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty can be accepted + Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Any specialty can be accepted. + Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. + Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Any specialty accepted for Radiologic Technologist issued by ARRT. Radiology Tech licensure issued by the IL Emergency Mgmt Agency required in combination with Radiologic Tech registration through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Education: + High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
