As Head Global Sales Infrastructure within SSGA’s Global Institutional Group, you will oversee the sales support and enablement functions for institutional sales, develop strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency and ensure a positive experience for internal and external clients.

This role is part of the Global Institutional Group and you will report to the Global Chief Operating Officer for that business.

As the Head of Global Sales Infrastructure, you will:

  • Drive strategic vision for sales infrastructure, motivating teams to evaluate and implement continuous improvement through automation and process redesign
  • Take ownership and initiative to negotiate, influence and build consensus and successfully navigate within a demanding and international environment of a leading global financial institution
  • Work collaboratively with sales, operations, investments, compliance and legal to advance improvements that will increase efficiency and/or support revenue growth

This role is responsible for leading the following functions:

  • Client onboarding: Management of end-to-end client onboarding process, including working with clients to meet funding deadlines; contract negotiation, approval and storage; operational set up of client accounts, currently focused on North America while liaising with global business controls partners to ensure global consistency; global support of client portal access and inquiry management  
  • Sales enablement (e.g., Salesforce and Seismic): Managing and developing the strategy around prioritization of enhancements; coordinating with IT and other business partners to align and coordinate enhancements; oversee development, configuration, and sales enablement support teams
  • Requests for proposal and due diligence questionnaires: Oversee creation of high-quality compelling proposals and questionnaires; drive efficiency through automation and streamlining completion of repeat requests
  • Sales presentation content: Ensure sales presentation content is up-to-date, meets branding requirements and is compliance approved; work with IT teams to find opportunities for automation of updates to content

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of institutional asset management distribution, sales, and sales operations
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, research, time management, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic mindset capable of developing and implementing transformational change
  • Capability to produce high-quality and/or final work product and solutions in a rapidly changing environment with tight deadlines, including the skill to prioritize and allocate projects and workflow to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Ability to thrive in a highly regulated environment that demands full compliance with policies and procedures
  • You are collaborative by nature with the capability to help others achieve more
  • An ability to form and cultivate positive relationships with internal partners
  • You have a positive attitude that motivates and inspires others
