Position Description:
The IOP Operations team works with portfolio companies and their management teams to create value through the execution of initiatives that improve portfolio companies' operational and financial performance. Associates within the IOP Operations team are responsible for a wide range of tasks to assist with the identification, evaluation, and execution of these initiatives, including:
- Conducting data analysis to assess current performance and quantify benefits related to improving performance
- Developing and presenting materials to support recommendations to improve performance as well as associated implementation plans to senior business leaders, including C-suite Executives, Operating Principals, and Boards of Directors
- Assisting with the implementation of adopted recommendations to improve performance
Associates will also support due diligence efforts and the evaluation of new investments (platforms and add-ons) as needed.
Candidates should be open to travel. The IOP Operations team travels as needed in order to:
- Engage and interface with portfolio company management teams and employees
- Observe manufacturing operations and business processes firsthand
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 - 5 years of experience in management consulting, FP&A within a manufacturing company, management accounting within a manufacturing company, financial due diligence / transaction advisory, or related professions
- High degree of intellectual curiosity, strong desire to learn, and compulsion to enact meaningful change
- Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities
- Ability to take initiative and willingness to work collaboratively in a small team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of and familiarity with ERP systems
