The Opportunity

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring a Director of Operational Support and Standards to join our team. As the Director you will provide day-to-day leadership for the standardization of compliance and program processes as well as effective utilization and adoption of systems and standards across our Sportservice subsidiary. This is a hands-on operations leadership role which will require you to be directly involved in the business units and to take personal accountability for meeting operations goals.

Due to the extensive travel for this role, up to 50%, we are open to a remote candidate.

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Salary: $108100 - $148700 / year

Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategy and execution of our systems across the subsidiary, including Birchstreet, ServSafe, Eco Sure, SHIFT timekeeping, and food safety metrics

  • Develop the operations systems plan and establishes procedures for maintaining high standards of service delivery; ensures that operations standards, process and procedures are adopted and consistently applied to established customer quality and Sportservice technology standards

  • Ensure internal programs including our sustainability and guest experience programs, GreenPath and GuestPath, are consistently utilized across the subsidiary

  • Establish and deliver annual goals, objectives, and action plans that reinforces and improves standard operation procedures

  • Lead the creation of standard operation procedures, business reports, tools, and metrics

  • Support current and new business contract requirements by implementing required operation systems, driving standards, and measuring utilization

  • Own rollout of enterprise operational systems including planning, costing, feasibility, and execution

  • Partner with cross-functional teams including IT, Operations, and HR to execute the strategy for operational systems

  • Support new business openings by providing hands on direct oversight, problem-solving leadership and the implementation of operational systems and standard operating procedures and support any existing location as directed by the COO

  • Lead change management efforts and identifies early adopters to help influence and implement necessary changes that support Sportservice overall growth

  • Work closely with and manage strategic vendor and client relationships

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years leadership experience in the hospitality industry driving operating systems and standards
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to manage to financial objectives, budgets, and timelines
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of proficiency in reading and analyzing P&L statements. make decisions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations
  • Superb leadership skills with the courage and the ability to confront and address issues across all levels of stakeholders in effective ways
  • Experience developing talent at various levels of the organization
