Description:
Education: (50%)
• Develop feedback loop for providers with revenue cycle when there are opportunities for improvement
• Assist with onboarding, education and training new Duly providers on coding, billing and documentation practices
• Assist with coding and billing education course for providers on an as needed bases, as well as annually to provide updates on new CPT changes
• Assist with provider audits for surgical and non-surgical services-quarterly for new physicians
• Stays current on CPT and ICD-10 coding and billing rules and cascades information as needed
Revenue Cycle: (15%)
• Work with Epic team as needed to optimize billing workflow and documentation
• Work with revenue cycle team members and providers as needed on appeal/denial letters
• Review payer policies as needed to ensure provider documentation meets medical necessity requirements
Workqueues & Technology: (20%)
• Reviews Epic Charge Review WQ'S daily to ensure that there is a consistent out flow of charges
• Identify any trends within the Charge Review WQ'S that may cause a delay in processing of charges
• Evaluate opportunities to streamlined documentation templates
• Assist with troubleshoots system issues as they relate to coding functions and resolves complexities in departmental training workflow
• Works with the Alert MD support staff on system updates and creates/coordinates ongoing training to providers and staff as required.
Reporting and Analytics: (15%)
• Assist with coding/billing analytic report requests by providers and leadership
• Participate in coding/billing dashboard development and reports as needed
