Scope of Responsibility: The Developer II position is assigned basic programming assignments utilizing Microsoft .Net development suite and Microsoft SQL Server as the primary software design tools. They will maintain and modify existing programs in addition to writing new programs using prescribed specifications. The Developer II will evaluate simple interrelationships in the programming area to determine whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part. Work with user representatives to gather facts to define the business problem and investigate the feasibility of solving the problem through new or modified computer programs. Once the change is formulated, work with higher level staff for approval and implement the change.





Essential Duties:

  • Completes basic programming assignments utilizing Microsoft .Net development suite and Microsoft SQL Server as the primary software design tools.

  • Maintains and modifies existing programs.

  • Writes new programs using prescribed specifications.

  • Evaluates interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one will cause unwanted results in another.

  • Works with end users to define business problems, formulates solutions to solve the problem, and works with higher level staff on approvals and implements the change(s).

  • Performs other duties as assigned.




Position Requirements
:





Education:

Bachelor or Associates Degree in computer science or related field; emphasis of technical discipline being application software development for the business environment.





Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience developing .Net application



Minimum of 2 years’ developing applications that use MS SQL.



Minimum of 2 years’ developing with JavaScript



Minimum of 2 years’ developing with CSS



Minimum of 1 year developing with TypeScript and Angular





Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio with the ability to create applications using C#.



Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server with the ability to write SQL queries to pull and manipulate data.



Knowledge of VSCode as an IDE to develop Angular front ends.



Knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript



Knowledge of Angular CLI



Knowledge of using JSON and WebAPIs



Knowledge of extensive use of CSS



Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, along with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced multi-disciplined environment with strong attention to detail and be able contribute to the success of the team.



Must be a self-starter willing to take on challenging assignments.



Regular and timely attendance is required

  • Position works in a production office environment requiring the use of office equipment such as a computer, copier, fax, phone, etc. most of the day

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to type, finger, handle or grasp, reach with hands and arms

  • Position is required to frequently visit the production floor

  • Must wear required PPE including safety glasses, steel-toe metatarsal boots and hearing protection at all times while on the production floor

  • Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 25 pounds
