JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resource Coordinator will have an outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Is also expected to be a conceptual thinker with fantastic organizational and time management skills. You will have excellent administrative and IT skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
HR Coordinator must be able to conduct orientations of HHAs and PCAs.
Must be able to assure accurate completion of all required hiring documents timely per agency policy.
Manage and assure security of the personnel files from hire to termination.
Must be able to track all required monthly in-services, supervisions, evaluations, disciplinary actions and required health data.
HR Coordinator must be able to communicate effectively with employees when issues surface.
HR Coordinator must be able to assist in preparing for audits or surveys.
Must be able to maintain personnel files and the HR department must be survey ready at all times.
Must be able to re-enforces HIPAA compliance with field staff and office personnel. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws (including but not limited to (HIPAA), company policies, and procedures in all transactions.
Process on going hiring process and maintain new hire paperwork.
Enter new hire data into the payroll system.
Verify completion of all new hire documentation follow-up with employees and ensure that proper documentation is received.
Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
Assist with payroll.
Build strong relationships with immediate team, employees, and other peers.
Stay up to date and knowledgeable of current and upcoming legal compliance changes as well as trends.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft and Excel platforms.
Effective oral and written communication skills; must demonstrate active listening skills; use clear and professional language on the phone, computer and in person.
Good professional appearance.
Excellent organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources.
Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position.
Knowledge of HR platform.
Ability to learn quickly, have flexibility and are adaptable.
Education and Experience:
Two years experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
