In this exciting role as Process Lead, you will be a part of the PMO and will use your organizational, process development/management, and people skills across workstreams within the Product DNA team. Additionally, this role will liaise with enterprise quality management system (QMS) process leaders, as well operational unit leads, configuration management, training, and others to ensure alignment of the Product DNA team deliverables.

A Day in the Life


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Serve as process lead within the DNA team of workstreams for key business processes, ensuring they remain harmonized as they integrate into the larger schema of Medtronic functional business processes.
  • Identify and confirm that all affected QMS documents are updated to align to the process changes created by the DNA program.
  • Navigate across multiple business entities within Medtronic including, but not limited to, Operational Units, Functions, and Regions to identify process ambiguity and move towards clear and actionable decisions.
  • Participate in regulatory surveillance and benchmarking initiatives with peers externally to stay abreast of changes in regulations and other impacted processes and to identify new ways of working and evolving technologies in this space.
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages process development schedule deliverables and prepares status reports.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring process development progress and for intervention and problem solving with individuals, leaders, and managers.
  • Solid process or project/program manager experience with a drive for continuous improvement and a passion to be a change agent.
  • Experience working in an FDA/ISO regulated environment.
  • Understanding of design control guidance for medical device manufactures, referenced in FDA in 21 CFR 820.30.
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity, adept at change management, and capable of moving cross functional teams forward.
  • Champion Product DNA in a way that engages and excites the end user community.


Must Have (Minimum Requirements)

  • Bachelor s degree with minimum of 5 years of process management experience
  • OR an advanced degree with minimum of 3 years of process management experience.


Nice To Have ( Preferred Qualifications )


  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, negotiating; planning and organizing teamwork; ability to address difficult situations; conflict resolution; resource constraint and problem solving. Strong written communication skills.
  • Familiar with enterprise level systems (ERP, PDM, PLM, SAP, ALM, etc.) and the implications to IT requirements/processes/project management.
