The Art Director, Digital is an inspired, creative thinker responsible for the successful design and production of digital assets for GMMB clients brands and campaigns. This role is responsible for translating the client s strategic brand and business objectives into a variety of digital assets, including website designs, interactive graphics and visualizations, and other digital assets for all client projects. The art director must be prepared to work in a deadline-driven, rapidly changing environment and possess an in-depth understanding of user interface design and patterns, web design and best practices, as well as the fundamentals of web development.
The Art Director will work closely with the Digital team strategists and creative directors to create designs that meet client expectations and can work with internal account teams to provide best practices for client solutions. The Art Director will also work with our Creative team to provide assistance with any overflow projects and to engage with them on best practices.
You are a a Digital Art Director who knows how to:
- Collaborate with digital strategists and account teams to run design discovery exercises and create mood boards, page and template designs for WordPress and Drupal websites.
- Be a strong conceptual thinker. We want people who can start a project off from an incredibly strong position and come up with surprising, smart concepts to move forward with.
- Adapt client brand guidelines and assets into meaningful site experiences.
- Stay on top of latest trends in UX/UI, digital design.
- Help make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
- Be a self-starter, pay strict attention to detail, and multi-task across multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Collaborate with other creative, project management, and account teams for all phases of design from brainstorming and ideation through execution.
- Build products, develop component-based design systems and adapting brand guidelines to create scalable systems.
- Collaborate with digital strategists and account teams to run design discovery exercises and create mood boards, page and template designs for WordPress and Drupal websites.
- Utilize a user centric design approach, as evidenced by considerations for accessibility, technology platforms, and contextual storytelling.
You have...
- 3-5 years of digital design and web experience, preferably at an agency or in-house creative department
- You have the ablity to work in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, InVision
- Portfolio displaying strong examples of previous web work required
- Solid typographic and design expertise
- Knowledge of Webflow and HTML/CSS is a plus
