Description


University Physicians’ Association is seeking qualified applicants for Clinical Research Coordinator position for GI FOR KIDS located in Knoxville, TN.


The Clinical Research Coordinator's primary responsibility is to provide assistance in support of clinical research studies being conducted by GI For Kids, PLLC. The Clinical Research Coordinator manages elements of a clinical study in order to meet all protocol obligations while following appropriate guidelines; and company standard operating procedures. These elements include but are not limited to day-to-day management of a study and study closure activities.


Responsibilities included, but not limited to:


  • Leads in the recruitment of study subjects
  • Aides in assessing eligibility of patients for participation in protocols
  • Participates in the administration of informed consent process
  • Responsible for the collection, entering, maintenance of data
  • Reviews data and progress notes with CRCs and principal investigator
  • Prepares study files for data
  • Prepare lab kits for upcoming research visits
  • Perform back-up study coordination if needed by trial schedule


Position is Full-Time, working Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Requirements


  • BS or BA required.
  • 1 year experience in clinical research or health care field
  • Understanding of medical terminology and clinical trials preferred
  • Working knowledge of PCs and word processing and data management software
  • Verbal and written communication
  • Goal-oriented; self-directive
  • Initiation, motivation, creativity
  • Organizational and interpersonal
  • Ability to actively participate as a team play
